June, 2007 -- Eighty million dollars was allotted for 2007 PEP Grant winners. One hundred forty seven winners were announced in June. No new applications were taken in 2007. The winners were taken from the pool of 2006 applicants.
September 14, 2007-- PE4life hosted the inaugural PEP Grant Resource Conference. Twenty five PEP Grant winning school districts/ organizations from across the nation attended the event. The Conference consisted of presentations from a Resource Panel of past PEP Grant winners, as well as PE4life President, Anne Flannery, PE4life Vice President of Operations, Brenda VanLengen, and PE4life Director of Education and Outreach (and legend), Phil Lawler. The PEP Grant Resource Conference also included a Vendor Symposium of more than 25 equipment suppliers including Sportime, Polar, Fitlinxx, and Expresso Fitness.
